LOCATION

LA SUCRIERE 49-50 Quai Rambaud, 69002 Lyon – France

Built in the 30’s on the docks of Lyon-Confluence, this former storage warehouse located on the border of the Saône river now knows, after 80 years, a second life started in 2003 with the Contemporary Art Biennale, reknown as one of Europe’s most important art gathering.

Today completely rehabilitated, La Sucrière is one of the only historical buildings in Lyon Confluence and as such, naturally becomes the district’s own figurehead.

La Sucrière benefits from an exceptional location. This building is at the heart of a festive and dynamic upcoming district.

It is an emblematic historical construction of the new Confluence district, first contemporary architectural project in Europe, which has welcomed the works of great international architects (Jakob & Mac Farlane, Wilmotte & Associates, etc), who gave birth to the various buildings in it.
