Kathrin Tölle is a German tattoo model, better known all over the world under the pseudonym Makani Terror. The very word Makani comes from the Hawaiian word for "wind", natural, wild and fickle. The surname Terror comes from the name of Katrin's favorite musical group.
As a teenager, she loved to dress quirky and extravagant, paying tribute to Punk and Metal fashion. Even her first tattoo was the inscription on her right ankle "PUNX 4ever".
In search of herself, Kathrin Tölle did not take long photographs, studied philosophy and history. In 2004 she moved to Hamburg and started working as a piercing master at a local piercing and tattoo studio. Then she moved to Oberhausen, where she continued to engage in piercing, and began working on her modeling career. It was during this period that she turned into Makani Terror.
Currently, she is a world-renowned alternative tattoo model and works with the world's best glossy magazines, major brands and world-renowned music bands.
