Realism remains in the TOP both among tattoo artists and among their clients for many decades. It began with the transfer of classical portraiture to tattoo and found a new breath in modern times, in the era of design, mixing realistic elements with other tattoo styles and giving birth to completely new works.
Today I want to share with you my recent discovery, a tattoo artist from Vietnam, known in the tattoo community as Tu Den.
His works really stand out from the general background of tattoo realists, firstly, due to its scale, because Tu Den covers huge areas of skin with his projects, truly transforming the appearance of people who came to him.
Secondly, it is important to note the highest detail of his work. When you looking at these tattoos, you just can’t believe that the human body acts as a canvas. The geometry of the drawing is so precisely calibrated and every centimeter of the image is perfectly worked out.
Thirdly, of course, a distinctive feature of Tu Den's works is that oriental look that transfers the ancient wisdom accumulated over the centuries into the tattoo, the pacification and grandeur of Buddha images, magic and eternal love of life.
This is far from the classic realism that we are used to seeing in art galleries, but nevertheless it is incredibly spectacular and attractive.
