We’re happy to invite you to the 8th edition of the Bulgaria Tattoo Expo, which will be held on September 16-17, 2023 in the National Palace of Culture – Sofia, Bulgaria. We will be glad to have you at our event – an unforgettable and full of inspiration expo of artists from the country and abroad. Our mission is to create a creative environment for the Creators of this ancient but also contemporary art that has left traditions and marks on the body and soul of humankind. You will be able to present your works to our public in competitions covering a huge range of styles. You will get the chance to be inspired by each other and develop skills and create ever higher value.

Bulgaria Tattoo Expo is an event with various tattoo competitions. The categories in which you will have the opportunity to present your creations are the following:

Day One – Saturday (September 16)

1. “Best “Monochrome” /Black and Gray, Back and white, Gray wash technique, regardless of size and without the presence of any color other than Black, white, and/or gray/
2. “Best “Color Tattoo” /any color tattoo, regardless of size, that does not fall into other categories/
3. “Avant-garde tattoos” / Line Work, Dot Work, geometry, minimalism, trash polka/.
4. “Neo-Traditional” – /color or monochrome palette without size limitation/.
5. “Lettering” /Color or black/gray, regardless of size and position/
6. “Best of Saturday” – Tattoos in this category must be started and completed within the Saturday day by participant/s (including collaborations started and completed on Saturday) in the exhibition, the winner will participate in the category “Best of Bulgaria Tattoo Expo.”

Day Two – Sunday (September 17)

1. “Tradicional” /Color ou preto, estilo tradicional sem limitações em temas e tamanho/
2. “Japonês/Oriental” /Color ou preto, dragões, peixes, samurais, etc. sem limitações de tamanho/
3. “Realismo” /Tatuagens realistas sem limitações em temas, cores e tamanho, incluindo retratos/.
4. “Fantasia” – qualquer “representação não padrão” de pessoas, rostos, animais, flores, objetos inanimados, fantasia, interpretações abstratas ou distorções da realidade, independentemente do tamanho.
5. “Colaboração” – Obras, trabalhos de mais de um artista, iniciados e concluídos na exposição; podem competir apenas nesta categoria.
6. “Melhor do Domingo” Tatuagens nesta categoria devem ter sido iniciadas e concluídas no mesmo dia de domingo pelo artista(s) (incluindo colaborações iniciadas e concluídas no domingo) na exposição, o vencedor participará da categoria “Melhor do Bulgaria Tattoo Expo.”
7. “Melhor do Bulgaria Tattoo Expo” – Os dois vencedores de sexta-feira e domingo + as colaborações de dois dias (feitas durante o evento) + as sessões de dois dias (feitas no evento) participam desta categoria.

And this year, we are prioritizing the work during the event. That’s why there will be awards, which will be mainly focused on these categories – “Best of Saturday”, “Best of Sunday” and “Best of Bulgaria Tattoo Expo”. All award winners in these categories will receive prizes from our sponsors, and first-place winners will receive additional prizes.

Prices for participation in Bulgaria Tattoo Expo 2023:

Small stand / 2 x 2 meters/ – 360 BGN / around 185 EURO Double stand /4 x 2 meters / – 720 BGN / around 368 EURO
Triple stand / 6 x 2 meters / – 1020 BGN / around 522 EURO
A participant added to a full stand without changing its size has to pay extra – BGN 180 / 92 EURO.
*Like any stand larger than a double, the price per m2 (square meter) is 85 BGN. with VAT as the minimum size you can add is 4m2.
*All prices are in BGN and include VAT

Every year we give out specially made event plaques to each winner. And in the new year, we will remain true to ourselves and create unique awards, and real works of art. For another year, we will give away many prizes from our partners to tattoo artists and tattoo fans. And in addition, we have prepared new games for even more fun.

We will take care of a good mood and share fun moments with a rich show program and music and DJ program. On the days of the event, you will be able to enjoy dance and art performances by artists from the country and abroad.

Segundo a tradição, o concurso de tatuagem louca será realizado este ano também. Assim, teremos novamente participantes que nos mostrarão suas tatuagens loucas! Qualquer pessoa pode participar do concurso, independentemente de ter a tatuagem feita nos dias do evento ou há 100 anos. É importante cumprir as condições do concurso e nada mais. Durante a organização do Expo de Tatuagem Bulgária 2023, anunciaremos também outros concursos de entretenimento para contribuir para a boa experiência de todos os convidados.
