The lucky Florence Tattoo Convention event was born in 2008 from the idea of ​​three friends, Giacomo Del Sala, Lorenzo Provvedi and Luca Lazzerini, working for years in tattoos and piercings area.

Following the attendance of an european training course finalized to the organization of major security events (Social Entertainment F.S.E.), the guys established the Firenze Indelebile Cultural Association, which aims to bring back l in Florence a great kermesse on the world of tattoo.

The main purposes of the event have always been:

To develop sensitivity in the issue of sanitary hygiene rules importance through typically youthful codes of expression in compliance with the norms in force, and with the support of local promoters of the event. Promote the artistic and historical tattoo culture Empower tattooer’s attitudes to encourage in teenagers some creativity and expression tools for their professional growth and affirmation Maintain a network of worker in the sector that, through common documents and experience, could offer a direct testimony of good work practices. Confirm the Florence Tattoo Convention as a fixed annual appointment For exchange, meeting and growth. Share the plan of the event with all the partners and promoters (local authorities, trade associations, professionists and schools). All the staff working during the convention is made up of more than 100 people operate unceasingly to help ensure the success of the event.

Some event growth data

The first edition of the Tattoo Convention, born as a wager, takes place in 2008 inside the Cavaniglia Pavilion of the Fortezza Da Basso. 3,300 sqm ready to accommodate 120 international tattooers, varied art shows and concerts. Success goes beyond all expectations and the event closed with more than 7.000 paying visitors Following the growing interest of local and national media (from newspapers to Tg1, Studio Aperto and Canale 5, as well as sector magazines) the Florence Tattoo Convention continued to become a world prestigious level appointment. Extemely follow-up social networks and appearance on international newspapers, Italian and foreign magazines (english, french, american, german, japanese etc.), are the result of a very long and intense work which has helped to increase the prestige of the event and make it one of the most loved and followed.

Indeed, the last edition of the Florence Tattoo Convention closed with more than 17,000 visitors, that is to say 10,000 more than in 2008.

We just have to say thank you to YOU, supporters or simply curious, for having contributed over the years to creating an high frequency convention, a steady flow of intense emotions concentrated in only 3 days, an event thought to celebrate and share our passion for ‘Tattoo art.
