Birka Vikingastaden is located on the island of Björkö in Mälaren – a place that was the Vikings’ most important trading post. You go here to go on your own excursion in the cultural landscape, follow a guided tour in the area of the ancient remains, and visit the Viking museum and the reconstructed Viking village with its period-typical forges and weaving huts. We welcome several tattoo artists to the Island and you as a visitor can get to opportunity to enjoy a longer visit on the Island if you book an appointment with an artist.
