Prison Ink Tattoo Convention 2025
Prison Ink Tattoo Festival #9 is scheduled to take place from May 29 to May 31, 2025, at FÆNGSLET, Fussingsvej 8, 8700 Horsens, Denmark. This vibrant international tattoo festival features 200 tattoo artists showcasing their craft over three full days from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. It is held during the Kristi Himmelfartsferien (Ascension Day holiday) and offers attendees a unique experience combining world-class tattooing with cultural festivities.
The venue includes a large outdoor prison yard area where visitors can relax and enjoy a variety of street food, cold beers, and drinks alongside live graffiti art created continuously throughout the festival by professional graffiti artists. Attendees can listen to live music featuring diverse genres presented by several exciting upcoming artists.
Tattooing takes place both in the spacious hall called Magasinet and in the cells at Arresten, where visitors can observe tattoo artists at work. This working convention provides opportunities for visitors to get tattooed on-site, either by booking appointments in advance through direct contact with any of the participating tattoo artists or by taking advantage of the many walk-in slots available during the festival.
The event is a blend of a tattoo convention and a festival environment, fostering community engagement through artistic expression in tattooing, graffiti street art, music, and culinary offerings.
