Tattoo artist Lee Stewart has developed her own unique tattoo style, which visually imitates the brush stroke on the canvas. She calls them "brushstroke tattoos".
Largely due to influence of street art in Berlin and the ink drawings of East Asia, Lee's designs range from simple abstractions to intricate images. In her tattoos, Stewart mimics, smooth, graceful lines and strokes, as if they were made with a ordinary brush. Drawing a thin, barely perceptible line between the art of tattooing and traditional Japanese painting in Sumi's ink, she masterfully convey the most pensive airiness in every movement, in every twist of her work.
Currently, Lee Stewart works in London (England), in the tattoo studio Good Times Tattoo.
