From June 4 to 6, 2027, Forum Braga will host the first edition of the Braga International Tattoo Convention — a new large-scale event created to bring together tattoo artists, studios, industry brands, collectors, and fans of tattoo culture in northern Portugal.
The convention will run daily from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, offering visitors three full days of live tattooing, competitions, entertainment, trade areas, and direct contact with artists from Portugal and abroad. According to the organizers, the debut edition is expected to feature more than 400 tattoo artists and 368 stands, making it an ambitious new entry on the European tattoo convention calendar.
The event’s concept, “Where Ink Meets Northern Heritage,” connects tattoo culture with a strong northern-inspired identity. Braga International Tattoo Convention aims to create not only a professional platform for artists, but also a complete cultural experience for the public — from live tattoo sessions and on-site appointments to performances, sponsor areas, a food court, and a bar.
A key part of the first edition will be its competition program, judged by an international panel of respected tattoo artists. The confirmed jury includes Jaka Tattoo, a Brazilian realism specialist with more than 20 years of experience and 59 awards; Carlos “Corta” Tattoo, known for freehand work, large-scale tribal compositions, and more than 46 awards; and Guina Tattoo, an award-winning artist recognized for technical precision, creativity, and work with public figures.
The guest line-up also includes Daniel Castro as the official ambassador of the convention, reinforcing the event’s focus on experienced professionals and strong representation from within the tattoo community.
For artists, Braga International Tattoo Convention 2027 offers an opportunity to present their work, compete, connect with colleagues, and become part of a new international platform from its very first edition. For visitors, it is a chance to discover current tattoo styles and techniques, watch renowned artists work live, meet studios and brands, and even get tattooed directly at the event.
With its first edition, Braga International Tattoo Convention sets out to place Braga on the international tattoo map and create a new meeting point for tattoo art, culture, and community in Portugal.
