Tattoo artist Josh Lovegaun (@lovegonetattoos_), who works in the traditional tattoo style, together with his wife @thefireinmybelly have released an illustrated children’s book titled “My Parents Have Tattoos”.
According to the authors, the project grew out of personal experience: even today, in their small Colorado town, the family faces prejudice because of visible hand, face, and neck tattoos. The book aims to break stereotypes and show children that a parent’s appearance has nothing to do with how much they love their kids.

The colorful edition introduces young readers to different types and placements of tattoos and emphasizes the importance of self-expression and the right to make choices about one’s own body.
“Whether or not you have tattoos, the core message of our book is to respect self-expression and to overcome the stigma around heavily tattooed people,” notes the artist’s wife.
The book “My Parents Have Tattoos” is now available to order, and the authors are giving away free copies to a few followers.
